The replacement

It is the part of your engineering team you did not have to hire.

Same code repository. Same board. Same on-call rota. Named engineers you interview yourself, who take responsibility for part of your roadmap and report the same numbers you expect from your own teams.

Here is the simple test. By the second month, your engineers stop noticing who works for you and who works for us during code review.

Understand

A 45-minute call, then a technical look at what you already have. We tell you what kind of team the problem really needs — including when the honest answer is that you do not need one.

  • A call with a senior engineer, not a salesperson
  • A review of your current system and the delivery risks in it
  • A written team proposal: roles, cost, rhythm, and first milestone
01Weeks 1–3

Graft

The team joins your company and becomes part of it. Access, environments, clear ownership, and one real change in production — so we prove the connection works before your roadmap depends on it.

  • Named engineers, interviewed by you, working in your tools
  • Team plan, on-call position and escalation path agreed
  • First live change within five working days
02Ongoing

Ship

A weekly rhythm against your board. You can see how much we ship, how long it takes and how many bugs escape — the same numbers we use internally to judge the team.

  • A demo every two weeks against the milestone plan
  • A delivery dashboard shared with your leadership
  • A monthly technical review with a senior Intcel engineer
03From month 4

Grow

The team size follows your roadmap, not our sales targets. Grow it, split it, or wind it down — either way, the knowledge stays in your repository.

  • 30 days' notice to grow or shrink the team
  • A written handover program run with your engineers
  • Former team members stay reachable for questions

Six ways to work
together, one standard.

Whichever one you choose, the way we work does not change: named senior people, your process, decisions written down, and delivery numbers you can see. Only the shape of the team is different.

  • You get a complete team that works on your roadmap and nothing else. It comes with its own tech lead, joins your on-call rota, and reports how much it ships every week so you can see the progress yourself.

    Typical team
    • 1 tech lead
    • 3–7 engineers

    3 weeks

    What you get
    • A written team plan and a shared definition of done, agreed in week one
    • Weekly reports on how much the team shipped and how fast
    • Technical decisions written down in your own code repository
    • On-call cover added to the rota you already run

Choose this ifYou have more work planned than people to build it, and you cannot wait nine months to hire.

PLT-04How we build

Six rules we will not
break to win the work.

01

We own the result, not the ticket

An engineer who closes twelve tickets but moves no business number has done nothing useful. Every Intcel team is told which business result it exists to improve, and reports against that result.

02

Our first code ships in week one

You do not pay for us to settle in. Access, environment and one small real change go live within the first five working days. It is the fastest way to find out what the brief left out.

03

Senior people only

Our engineers have about eight and a half years of production experience. We do not put junior engineers on client work to increase our margin. When we train someone, we do it on our own time.

04

We use your process, not ours

We will share our opinion once. After that we use your board, your branching model and your definition of done. Running two processes in one project is a cost your team pays, not us.

05

If it is not written down, it did not happen

Decisions live in your code repository as short written records, not in a call nobody recorded. When the project ends, the reasoning stays with the code.

06

Leave the team stronger than we found it

We measure every team partly on what your own engineers can do after we leave. Locking clients in is a business model, not a standard. It is not ours.

PLT-06Industries

Every industry has one
rule that decides everything.

The rule

Every number has to be explainable to an auditor.

Ledgers, settlement, payment rails, and the checking work nobody wants to demo. We build the audit trail first and the feature second, because that order costs less in the end.

What we bring

PCI-DSS environments, event-based ledgers, side-by-side migrations

This is what our engineers have actually shipped to production, not what we have read about. If your technology is not on this list, tell us on the call. Sometimes we know the right person for it. Sometimes the honest answer is that we are not the right company for the job.

PLT-08What clients say
I have hired engineers from a dozen firms. Intcel is the only one where I stopped being able to tell, during code review, who worked for us and who worked for them.

In week two they told us our plan was wrong, and showed us the data. It cost them work and saved us about four months.

The handover told me everything. Every technical decision had a document, and my own engineers could explain the system without calling anyone.

PLT-10Common questions

The questions
we get asked most.

If your question is not here, that is probably the one worth spending the call on. Ask us directly.

Or send us a message

An outsourcing company takes a specification, works separately, and hands back a finished thing. We work inside your company instead: your board, your code repository, your definition of done, your on-call rota. The simple test is that after two months, your engineers stop noticing who works for you and who works for us during code review.

The hidden cost of running two processes

When an outside team brings its own way of working, someone has to translate between the two. It is never the outside team.

You will speak to a senior engineer, not an account manager. We will ask what your team actually shipped in the last six months, and where the real bottleneck is.

About one call in six ends with us saying the problem is not a lack of people. It is unclear scope or unclear ownership, and hiring anyone, including us, would make it worse.
